a”maze”ing maeve

 

 

11.15.08  Liam’s friend Maeve (or “Maze” as Liam calls her) came to play.  The two had lots of fun at Chuck E. Cheese’s earlier in the day, but I don’t have pictures to show for it.  Somehow with Cheyenne and I juggling 3 kiddos all under the age of 2 at the kids fantasy eatery, we just didn’t have any leftover hands to use the camera.  Bummer.  I did manage to capture shots of their bath experience and Liam reading “Maze” a bedtime story.  As you can tell by the look on his face, Liam doesn’t like his picture taken right now.  I have to catch him by surprise, and he’s already giving me the look I’d expect from a teenager!  Ugh!

celebrating 45 years

If my parents were still on this earth, they’d be celebrating 45 years of marriage today.  They’ve been gone now for 3 years and 3 months and I have thought of them every single day since they’ve passed.  My heart still aches because I miss them so much, yet I am happy they are home in heaven.  My parents have inspired me more than anyone else on love and commitment.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails. “

This lesson of love is taught in the Bible (1 Corin. 13), but I learned it from my parents.
