i’m in love with the girl
piano pounder

No one in the Johnson family was gifted with musical talents. NO ONE. Cheyenne’s mom does play the piano, however, so I’m hoping she’ll be able to teach my children the skill. I’m also hoping they have some musical genes in their precious bloodstream! Here’s Nadia’s first attempt at Nana’s piano (11.2.08)… and I have to say, she definitely has potential (except for the part where she nearly falls off the stool)!
halloween 2008

This picture cracks me up! Liam is in a stage where he DOES NOT want his picture taken. He is crying hysterically in this pix ONLY because he’s in a photo shoot… no other reason! Oh, the drama!
Here’s more snapshots from the fun at Kevin and Crista’s:

Here’s our Little Red Riding Hood and Superman at WBKO’s Halloween Fest:

Superman’s “close-call”:
liam’s dell

You know your husband has computer mania when he comes home with a Dell laptop for his 23 month old son! (10.16.08) Granted, it’s an older model that he paid nothing for, but still!! In reality, we got tired of Liam wanting to peck the keys on our computers… and Liam’s smart enough to realize his other computer is a “kid model”… so Cheyenne solved that problem real fast! Liam is set to be just like his daddy!
cozy cousin

Liam and Nadia sure love their cousins! Nadia actually fell asleep in Veronica’s arms and stayed there for I don’t know how long! Veronica has the touch! This photo was taken the day Liam had his 2nd seizure (10.11.08). My brother and his girls came to our rescue and played with Nadia at the house while we were at the hospital with Liam. I’m not sure what I would do without family. My brother and sister have both been such a blessing to us.
double the fun

I can’t believe our twin nephews are 9 already (bday back in September. Yes, I’m still playing “catch-up”!) They were infants when Cheyenne and I first met, so I can visualize the years we’ve been together simply by watching Matthew and Andrew grow up. They had a party at a cool arcade in Clarksville, TN. It was Liam and Nadia’s first arcade experience… and they are hooked! The last pix is of cousin Alex. He and his brother (not pictured) were adopted from Russia not long before we brought Liam home. Their adoption story helped inspire Cheyenne and I to grow our family in the same way. Cool, huh?!!
home phone

We’ve decided to get with the times and get rid of our home phone. It didn’t really serve a great purpose anymore anyway, esp. since Cheyenne and I can be reached quicker through our cell phones. So in case you’ve recently tried to reach us via our home phone but to no avail, that’s why! Obviously, I’m not going to post our cell numbers on this blog… but if you don’t have them and need either, shoot me an email… and I may… I just may… give it to you!!!
1 year + 2 year photos
Check out the latest photos of Liam and Nadia:

I’ve learned that trying to photograph a 1 year old and a 2 year old is nearly impossible. It was an exhausting experience and, quite frankly, a disaster! After leaving the session, I wasn’t sure if our photographer (Beth Laster) would be able to salvage anything from the chaos of our family… but somehow she did! As you’ll see, Liam did NOT want his picture taken, though… so there aren’t any one shots of him. But Nadia… well, let’s just say she must have been making up for lost time! (The last time I had her pix taken professionally was at 9 weeks! I know, I’m a terrible mother… esp. since Liam had his taken at the 3-6-9-12 month intervals! ) Nadia was all about having her picture taken! She smiled and showed that dimple off! (I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that we kept feeding her gummy bears??!!)
When you get a minute, check them out and let me know your favorites! It’s always so hard for me to decide.
