4 month stats

Nadia just had her 4 month check-up… and let’s just say she’s “above average.”  It sure seemed like she had been growing fast and that’s because she HAS!  Nadia is in the 97th percentile in both weight and height… and the 57th in head circumference!  The funny thing is, Liam was a huge baby… but Nadia is bigger than he was at 4 months!!!  (Except head circumference… Liam was in the 99th percentile in that category, which is hard to beat!)  Cheyenne and I joke that we don’t raise skinny babies in our house!  I also think it’s amusing that Nadia weighs more than 2 of her best friends… which might not sound strange, until you find out Maeve will be *one* in a couple of days… and Macey is 10 months old!!!  For more kicks and grins… I’ve attached pictures and stats of Nadia, Liam, Maeve and Macey at 4 months old:

go toppers!

Our team, the Hilltoppers, made it to the NCAA this year!  The men’s basketball players certainly made Bowling Green proud… going all the way to the Sweet 16!  The Toppers lost by 10 points to top-seeded UCLA, but not without a fight.  I’m a WKU grad, and believe it or not, a former Topperette.  Yeah, it was 40 pounds ago…  and when scrunchies and sequins were cool.  Here’s pix from my blast in the past.

easter 2008

Liam and Nadia were able to celebrate Easter with both sets of cousins.  First, we had an Easter Egg Hunt at our house with the Johnson/House cousins… Then, we got to do it all over again at MaMaw and PaPaw’s house with the Oglesby’s.  Liam was too excited about being “loose” in the great outdoors to notice all the eggs that surrounded him.  Still, he managed to have a full basket when it was all over… thanks to the help he received from Stacy and Alex.  Next year he’ll be a pro!

bingham’s last day

WBKO will never be the same after the departure of Amy Bingham.  Amy worked at the station for 15 years… and to say she was an asset is an understatement.  Amy has done practically every job at WBKO (Anchor/Producer/Assignment Editor/Interim News Director, etc.) and she has excelled at each one of them.  Throughout the years, our relationship has evolved from co-workers to close friends.  We sat by each other at work, and because of that, Amy had the “privilege” of coping with my daily drama.  I am eternally grateful for her listening ear, especially at a time in my life when I was sick with grief.  Amy was the person who gave me my morning pep talk each day after the loss of my parents.  I honestly felt like Amy carried some of the weight of my grief for me.  I know my mom and dad are proud of her for taking such good care of me.  Amy’s last day at WBKO was March 21, 2008, and we threw a fantastic party in her honor.  Check out her goodbye cake made by Tammy Vogler of “A Taste of Whimsy”.  Isn’t it amazing?  If you want to see more of Tammy’s work, go to her website on the right side of this blog under blogroll.

lucky day

St. Patrick’s Day has become such a fun holiday, thanks to my good friend, Kim Kennedy.  She’s in love with the color green, and so she makes a point to spread the love!  Kim did a great job, as always, playing hostess on March 15, 2008.  The meal was completely green/Irish… even down to the Shepherd’s Pie.  We had fun dressing the kids up in green and “trying” to get a picture of them all.  As you can tell, it’s not easy snapping a shot of 5 little ones on the move!  It was a fun day in Nashville and I feel “lucky” to have these friends in my life.

What a difference a day makes

I realize I’m behind on my blog, but I have pictures that I just simply haven’t had time to post yet… and these are some of them.  On March 8, 2008… just a few days after my last post of our beautiful day at the park… we got lots and lots of snow!  It’s amazing to me how Kentucky weather can change overnight.  I was so glad Liam got to play outside, even though it was just for a few minutes.  I love making memories with our sweet babies, just as my parents did with me.

True-Love

March 2, 2008 was a beautiful day, so we headed up the street to the park to enjoy it!  While we were there, Liam and Nadia got to play with their neighbors, Marlee and Owen.  Marlee Truelove (Jonathan + Heather Truelove’s little girl) is a couple of weeks younger than Nadia, and Owen (Susannah Truelove Brown’s baby) is one month older than Nadia.  It’s fun to have playmates close in age next door!

like father… like son

We bought Liam his very own computer, and, boy, did he love it!  He sat down on the floor, put it in his lap, and then typed away!  Of course, Liam broke the computer by the next day, but it was sure fun while it lasted!
